For the purposes described in this policy, we collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact data: phone number, email address, mailing address.
  • Health data (sensitive): dental and medical history, health conditions relevant to treatment, X-rays, intraoral images, and 3D CT scans.
  • Financial data: payment information required for billing purposes.

⚠️ Sensitive data: Health-related data is classified as sensitive personal data under Mexican law. Processing it requires your express consent and is protected with enhanced security measures.

03Purposes of Processing

Primary purposes (necessary for the clinical relationship):

  • Provision of dental and oral health services.
  • Creation and maintenance of your clinical record pursuant to Mexican Official Standard NOM-004-SSA3-2012.
  • Diagnosis, treatment planning, follow-up, and patient management.
  • Billing and payment administration.
  • Appointment confirmation and reminder communications.

Secondary purposes (you may object to these):

  • Sending information about promotions, new treatments, or clinic services.
  • Satisfaction surveys and service quality improvement.
  • Publishing success cases (only with your prior written consent and without data that identifies you without your explicit authorization).

04Transfer of Personal Data

Smile Implant Center does not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

  • With dental laboratories for the fabrication of prostheses or other clinical work, sharing only the strictly necessary data.
  • With health or judicial authorities when required by law.
  • With medical specialists in the case of consultations or clinical referrals, with your knowledge.

These transfers do not require your consent pursuant to Article 37 of the LFPDPPP.

05Your Rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation & Opposition)

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object (ARCO rights) to the processing of your personal data at any time.

Include: full name, description of the right you wish to exercise, any information that helps locate your data, and a copy of a government-issued ID.

We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days from receipt of your request. If applicable, we will carry out the determination within the following 15 business days.

06Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time, provided there is no legal or contractual impediment to doing so. To withdraw consent, follow the same procedure described in the ARCO Rights section above.

Please note that health data included in your clinical record is subject to the retention periods established by NOM-004-SSA3-2012 (minimum 5 years from the last consultation).

07Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience and analyze traffic. These include:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): collects anonymous browsing data (pages visited, time on site, device type). It does not personally identify you.
  • Google Tag Manager: manages tracking tags on the website.
